When there is nothing better to do other than studying, I gave myself leopard nails.
I did this on my tattered original layer of pink nail polish, (yea I'm too lazy even to redo the nails) it is also easier to remove the nail polish when there's a thick layer, just roll up the edge and peel it off in the shower.
Anyway, it didn't matter if it is not even, the pattern will cover up scratches and flaws. I start with dotting a few random splotches of a highlight colour randomly (not too close, putting some at the very tip and some at the very edges)

After the highlight colour have dried off, I use the tip of a bobby pin to apply a darker colour in a bracket shape "( )" enclosing the splotch, then add some small dots here and there.
Let dry, then apply top coat, Finished!! Time to show off :D
