One thing i can't stand is to haul a heavy bag around. I need to reduce load as much as I can. Seriously.
Packing starts the night before, first think of the places to go and what to wear there. Major important reminder: check the weather forecast, know what to expect.
Tip: Scandinavian countries often have great heating systems, a good coat > multi layers of clothing.
Winter = colder temperatures = less sweat = clothing can be worn twice.
For this trip to the Baltic states, I go blue-green, easy mix and match. *wink wink* Though my sweater and jacket mostly goes on top which didn't really makes any difference what I wear underneath. *bleh*
Lay everything out and check the combinations + amount of clothing to last travel period.
Toiletries! The most important thing to remember. I'm trying to get a decent waterproof make up bag, though the one i'm using is doing fine. (Thinking of the new summer collection ones from H&M, size is right for all my petite travel-seized everything. Touring make-up only consist of eye-liner and a pink lip balm, that's enough to make my pics presentable. Oh, and don't forget those slippers!!
Credits to the roll all pieces of clothing before putting it in the bag technique, not only saves space and allows immediate clothing location, but also minimize creases. *big thumbs up!*
Pack light
= no surcharge on Ryanair
= not giving away identity of tourist immediately
= looking more laid back and composed
= less things to look after
Stay cool, travel with style B)
