It's been quite a while since I've been here. Many things have happened and being a person who isn't really that great at expressing herself I will try to put my thoughts in order.
After my surgery I am currently spending tremendous amount of time at home doing nothing with the big excuse to procrastinate (and make useless videos like this one). I do, however have set some goals for myself to meet. It is already the third week into my recovery and I feel that I should start doing something meaningful.
First thing on my list:
learn to type Chinese.
對上一次在此發表己經是很久之前,這段期間發生了很多東西。以一個不太懂得表達自己的人我會盡力整理自己的思緒。
在手術完成後的日子裹我有什多的時間呆在家中。
okay, now this is all I managed before my attention span runs out.
My current obsession is looking up liquid food recipes and blogs of others whom have also gone through an orthodontics surgery. To be honest, most of the blogs are about similar things, numbness in the lips, unable to chew, making smoothies etc... but I have to say that they certainly made an effort to give their blog interesting names. We have jawnomnom, metalmouthmonologues, musing of a lockjaw etc...
Reading their blog kind of assured me that my progress is good and normal, I am greatly blessed with minimal pain and nausea (can't say I have any at all, everything is so bearable) The only thing that is near unbearable probably is staying home and not doing anything. (oh, did I mention the antibiotics tastes like the worst thing in the world?)
On my To Do list I have ideally put down a resolution to learn to paint with water colour (my muse! *heart eyes emoji*)
and to do more art (to some extend I did some...)
and to read 109700 books (I did flip through quite a few)
But to my surprise, I actually learnt quite a bit about cooking from my mum. Sure it'll be useful in the future when I become *an independent adult*.
So these empty days were "well" spent doing the things I like, meeting some friends, catching the fireworks in my head and helping around the house. I should really treasure the days of freedom like this (remember it, etch it in my brain, the boredom and emptiness, memorize it girl!) cause I expect myself to be working hard and going full speed once I recover.
P.S Going on a TA interview tomorrow! woohoo! (But how they're going to comprehend my speech would be the question haha!)
Update II: I can't decide if I'm hungry or just bored.
